It couldn’t have been the Tebuconazole fungicide I applied Tuesday morning – it must have been Mike Lor’s choice of pin positions (combined with my own men’s tee set ups) … or maybe it was the weather, which has to rank in this season’s top 10… sunny but not oppressively so, with temperatures and humidity levels that reminded me of the best late summer days of September… half the field played to net par or better!
There were birdies galore – check the Players report… there were four skins – three of which took a birdie: Jamie’s par on #4 took skin #1; Kenny Joseph’s bird on #6 was #2; Skip wins a skin for the second week in a row with his birdie on #8; and low gross Mike Lor finished strong with a birdie on #9. Fifteen players, $45 skins pot, $11.25 ea. Near pin pot was $30 … and while defending “Nick Malaxos Sandbagger of the Year” Bill Drew was on form (46 net 30) and posted the first entry at 45′ 2.5″ it was John Madeo who stuck his tee shot to 18′ 6″ to win the pot. Congratulations to all – let’s keep the high level of play through the rest of the season!
