Well, more like a brush clearing skirmish than a war… I spent Sunday afternoon eradicating (at least for now… ) our stand of invasive multiflora rose in the no-mow area between holes 1 and 9… So even though it plays as a “red” hazard, now you can perhaps play your ball from within the hazard without risking being caught and punctured by thorns. Here’s the URL to the NY State invasive species site: http://nyis.info/invasive_species/multiflora-rose/
We’ll be cutting out this and other invasive species (like Knotweed) from throughout the property to allow for better views and access of the river and to give you a better chance to play the course with the same golf ball (but if you hit one into the farm you’re on your own!)
