Event 3 Men’s League Results

Good Morning! We’ve had FINE turf conditions now that Spring has Sprung with above average rainfall and early Summer temperatures and sunshine encouraging vigurous growth. When combined with our 20th century mowers all working… well it may give me the impression that I know what I’m doing but, in fact, I know better… it’s mostly good weather and working equipment. I’ll continue to contribute my labor to keep conditions improving, if possible – right now I’m firing up the greens irrigation as they are showing signs of stress…

Speaking of stress… well … lack of timely communication between teams is, occasionally, making my job as league admin a little bit harder. While I encourage our substitutes to show up on Wednesday whether they’ve got an assignment or not they’re under no obligation to do so. If you know you’re planning to be out please arrange for a substitute as soon as possible. If you’re running late (remember “Par” tee time is 4:30PM) then CALL YOUR OPPONENTS (and your partner) …If you need to play on a different day, call your opponents and make your request known. They’re under no obligation but out of courtesy… well let’s work together. Once your new match time (different day or earlier/later start time) is known then you can let me know. THANKS! The flexibility our league allow demands timely communication – please do each other the courtesy of reaching out by phone, text, or email.

After falling behind early (5-3 after 4 holes) to the Giant Killers, Dustin / Dan squeak out a 1 point win
Pretty good golf all around but John’s 42 net 28 rules the day for Team 2
Mike/Gary’s win was propelled by wins on holes 6, 7, 8 – outscoring Mike/Joey 5-1 in that stretch after falling behind by a point after the first 3

Mitch continues his hot play but Andrew kept right up with him – it was Larry’s 41 net 30 that carried team 6 to victory today.
Kenny / Ron took a 2-0 lead right out of the gate and never relinquished it – Ron’s bogie 4 on hole 6 was the clincher
Marshall gave Lenny a real run for the money but it was (former) 18 handicap substitute Yvan’s 46 net 28 that provided the margin of victory
