We had a Summer preview on Wednesday – a reminder to hydrate before, during, and after your round… Our Coke & Pepsi machines are stocked and we have a supply of Orange and Blue Gatorade in Julie’s cooler up in the clubhouse. Skip and super-sub Aarne Lofgren posted net 31’s – too much for the “Giant Killers” to overcome
It was Net 27’s all around but Chevy’s +12 (Net 33) might not have been the difference maker but rather the 2 points Christian took on holes 4 and 5 thanks to strokes given in spite of making double bogies
It may have been featured as Hall vs Hall (brother v. brother) but it was Mike Brayden’s handicap busting 35 net 24 that broke the match open denying Dustin’s fine 33 net 28. Brother Joey also scored well against newby Dan Ballard; topping him by 3 strokes to take his match 6-3
Cowboy remains mired in his “slump” busting out a 35 net 33 … our handicaps are based upon “best 3 of your last 5 rounds” so Mike’s handicap is more a reflection of rounds played late last season rather than this year… ouch. Gary Hessberger saved the day for team 5 with another fine round: 33 net 27.
Mitch and Larry fell to the latest iteration of “Giant Killers” as both Chris and John took good advantage of their handicap strokes (net 29 and 30 repectively) to squeak out a 3 point win.
The 5th hole was the difference maker here as Lenny/Derek take the match 10-8
