The course is holding up in spite of the recent heat wave… I’ve finally got the irrigation system primed and tuned so lack of rain won’t be an issue… next step is to get the new/old sprayer cranking to tamp down any pesky dollar spot / anthracnose / pythium infections before they can do any serious damage (as has occurred the last few seasons) … Greens have been rolled rather than cut and they’ve seemed to respond well to the less stressful treatment – albeit they are running even slower than usual – a small price to pay to maintain green, healthy turf.
