Another week in the books as the weather (and maybe even course conditioning) continue their upward trend. Congratulations to near pin winner Dan O’ who had the only posting on near pin hole #8 and to resurgent Mike Lor, who framed a pair of birdies on holes 1 and 9 with pars on holes 2-8 (except for a missed near gimme on the fourth hole)… guess high roughs and tricky pins are no match for bowl a hole tactics when it comes to preserving old man par at The Meadows Golf Center…

Yvan & John lost 5 of 6 holes (with one tie) before taking holes 7 and 8 from Tony Tanner / (average Barney) … Feel better soon Lou!
In our closest match of the season Justin / Zach EDGED James / Ken by two points… Net TEAM (combined) totals made the difference (1 stroke) in this match (are you sure you want to give your opponent a putt?

Lenny / Derrick played 7 holes before yielding a single hole to Brian / Harry.

Ron/Kenny J lost 71-29 in spite of shooting net 33/32… why? Because Gary won his match over Ron net 33-30 and Kenny got steamrolled by a renewed Dan O’ who scored a season’s best 34 NET 24 AND won closest to the pin, to boot…
Jamie / Christopher made a successful play for the league championship with a solid call to action. Holes 8 & 9 were the difference makers – Jamie / Chris dominated them 15-1
Dustin / Casey dropped the first three holes before storming back to win FIVE holes in a row to set the tone of the match. Guess Dustin might ask to hold the scorecard more often?
