Week 8 Men’s League results

Ouch… I see that it’s Tuesday – and it’s raining – and now I’m finally publishing your results… my apologies. We didn’t get final match results until Saturday. I cooked from 4AM until 10PM Sunday. Walk mowed our greens on Monday afternoon after giving a morning lesson. Nice leg and back workout – wish I had a pedometer but my body feels like I just took a 15 mile hike with intermittent “duck walks” every 50′ or so. My new/used hydraulic cylinder came in the mail today so the tri-plex greens mower will be back up and running as soon as I can get some “Todd the Mechanic” time lest I end up heading to the Senior Empire State Games as a triple jumper or high jumper.

Near Pin / Skins had it’s best participation yet… 20 of you pitched in for a $100 pot. Mitch Hull squeaked out a $40 near pin win on #7 (19’5″) edging out Harry Saslow (21’4″) and Zach Golden (29’9″) We had three skins winners of $20 each – Jamie Wilson birdied #4, Skip Parcell birdied #5, and Justin Callahan had the lone birdie on #9.

This week’s near pin will be on #6 – more eagle 1s scored here than on any other hole!

Hey substitutes… can you PLEASE return phone calls? Even if you CAN’T play…

hey ZERO PERCENT chance of rain tomorrow at 5PM…

Weatherbug.com forecast as of 0845 Wednesday 7/7… staying optimistic
Daniel/Gary push Justin/Zach out of first place (despite Justin/Zach posting respectable Net 30s) CLOSE MATCH !!!
Dustin/Casey win a tight match even while Skip/Bill both break net par.
Looks to me like the 7th hole made the difference
Dan O’/Mike got off to a quick start but Mike (Mr. 32) and sub Ryan reeled them back in to take the match. Both teams shot Net 31/33 but Mike/Ryan won far more “match” holes.
Jamie/Chris roll to a big win – Jamie takes a net 1 stroke win over Brian (37 net 29!) and Chris dominates Harry (who suffered a tough week 46 net 38)
Mitch/Larry continued their steady climb and are now in 1st place vanquishing Ken/James who jumped out to a big lead after 3 but couldn’t hang on losing 5 of the last 6 holes.
There wasn’t much Lenny and sub Gil Rubin could do to stop Robert Skala’s record setting 38 NET 20 !!! Robert is now the latest candidate for the Nick Malaxos Sandbagger of the Year
Tony/Lou ride their hot 3 hole start to beat Ron/John’s late match surge
