Perhaps we should refer to local craftsman and guide Lenny Millen as the Eagle Whisperer… Not only has Lenny coaxed his own tee shot directly into the hole this year… he’s now witnessed TWO holes-in-one on the difficult 180 yard par 3 Third hole. Today’s benefactor and latest enrollee in the MGC Eagle Club is Lenny’s pal and retired NY Times videographer David Frank of Hardenburgh who plunked his 5 iron… against the prevailing breeze … onto the top shelf of the third green where it promptly accepted the accompanying left to right break and fell into the cup. It was David’s first hole in one (and Lenny’s third to execute / witness in 2020). Lenny will be accepting bids for his guiding service (either on the streams and lakes of the region OR on the golf course) but do hurry… his book is filling fast.
